As with any injectable aesthetic service, there can be post-treatment side effects. Patients who have severe allergies (anaphylaxis) or allergic reactions to lidocaine or gram-positive bacterial proteins should not use JUVÉDERM® filler treatments. After Treatment Care
Your Bloom MedSpa clinician will provide information about pretreatment steps to take to ensure that you get the best results from your JUVÉDERM® treatments. Patients must stop taking anti-inflammatory over-the-counter (OTC) medications and supplements for up to ten days before treatment.
Some minor swelling, tenderness, and redness are normal following filler treatments. Patients at our Tampa medspa will also receive important after-treatment care instructions. For two days following your JUVÉDERM® treatment, patients are advised to avoid exercise, hot saunas or showers, or exposure to direct sunlight. Patients should also avoid massage, specific supplements, and over-the-counter medications for two weeks following their treatment. Ask your clinician for more information.
