Acupuncture Clinic
For thousands of years, acupuncture has been a holistic therapy practiced in Japan. Acupuncture is believed to improve the flow of QI (oxygen and energy) to the body. In Western medicine, it is understood that the homeostatic imbalances in the body can be helped by acupuncture.
Acupuncture is increasing in popularity as a homeopathic alternative for pain management. In fact, The World Health Organization released new benchmarks to evaluate treatment outcomes and methods in 2021.
Regular acupuncture therapies can promote metabolic balance, improve neurotransmitter functioning, and flow of nutrients and oxygen through all vital systems in the body. Bloom MedSpa provides both cosmetic and therapeutic acupuncture treatments by certified clinicians
What Does Acupuncture Feel Like?
Fine needles are strategically placed on the body to stimulate local treatment areas and the central nervous system (CNS). Heat and varying degrees of pressure can be applied through acupuncture therapy to address chronic pain and other symptoms.
Some patients are concerned that acupuncture is painful. But the fine grade of the needles used for acupuncture is specifically designed to reduce any discomfort. Most people feel calm and energized after their first acupuncture session. The points of needle insertion can feel tender after treatment.
Acupuncture may help provide symptom relief for the following conditions:
To determine if acupuncture therapies are effective for your symptom management goals, a treatment plan of five (5) sessions is recommended. Acupuncture can also be scheduled as a complementary treatment with other types of deep tissue massage therapies at Bloom MedSpa.
After Treatment Care
Patients are provided with a guide to after-treatment care following their acupuncture therapy. Acupuncture stimulates muscles and tissues. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acupuncture improves the body’s energy flow (Chi).
Following acupuncture therapy, patients are encouraged to relax for the rest of the day and hydrate with water. Engage in slow activities, or sleep. Most patients feel refreshed after a deep sleep after their acupuncture treatment.
